Pay attention to the word of God, you who know righteousness and are in right standing with God; do not fear the taunting of men, or be distressed at their reviling. Listen to me, you who meditate on the instructions of the Lord; do not fear human scorn, and do not be upset when they abuse you for doing good.
Anyone who wants to do right and obey the teaching of the Lord with his/her heart, must not be discouraged when others insult such a person, and say hurtful things. If you cherish the laws of God in your heart; you will not be afraid of people’s contempt, or their slanderous talk, because it is a distraction; according to the Book of Isaiah which says, “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, you people in whose heart is My law: Do not fear the reproach of men, nor be afraid of their insults.” Isaiah 51:7. If the teaching of the Holy Bible is fixed in your heart; you will not be upset when people taunt you, or be discouraged by their ridicule. You are very fortunate, and you will be rewarded for what you have done; if you are not tired of doing good. It shall be well with you, and you will eat the fruit of your deeds; if you are not weary of doing right. You are blessed, and you will consume the product of your labor; if you continuously do right and good. We are reassuring the godly people that their good living will pay off, and they will receive the reward of their acts/deeds; according to the Book of Isaiah which says, “Say to the righteous that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.” Isaiah 3:10. Remember, those who do right and good persistently will be blessed, and they will enjoy the rich reward they have earned.

Every soul who intends to inherit the kingdom of heaven must turn his/her back on a sinful lifestyle; such a person must start doing what is right and good.
You need to do good instead of evil, and try to live at peace with everybody if you want to please God. Turning away from evil, start doing good and embracing peace, is a criterion to be acceptable to God. If you forsake all immoral acts and wrongdoings; by spending your time doing right and good; then you are heaven bound. The Bible attested to this fact by saying, “Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it.” Psalm 34:14. You must turn away from what is lustful and start doing what is good for God to be delighted in you. It is the instructions of the Lord to depart from evil and do good; in order to live securely anywhere on earth. If you stop sinning and start doing right, you will keep living and be secure forever. If you want to be admitted into the Eternal Home, leave your evil, low-down ways and live a good life before God. For the heavens to recognize you; turn your back on evil, work for good continuously and do not quit; according to the Bible passage which says, “Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore.” Psalm 37:27. Turn away from nefarious activities, do what is right and you will enjoy lasting security. It is simple; avoid evil, do good, and live forever. |
